Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality & CI focused professional to manage and improve the QMS across the plant. You will drive corrective actions, ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance, and develop quality documents to strengthen processes and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have an engineering degree, Lean experience, and strong analytical and communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to influence at all levels and train others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Electrical preferable.
• ISO 9001:2015 procedures knowledge preferred.
• Demonstrated project management skills with strong quantitative and analytical ability.
• Detail oriented; manage time and activities under pressure.
• Ability to read and interpret technical prints.
• English and Spanish communication skills; presentation skills.
• Capability to influence at all levels; strong interpersonal skills.
• Team player and self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Hands-on knowledge of lean philosophy; Green Belt preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Minitab.

Responsibilities

• Develop corrective action programs to mitigate issues and eliminate product non-conformances.
• Drive prompt closure of customer quality issues and incorporate lessons learned into processes.
• Ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance for established processes.
• Create/maintain quality documentation: control plans, procedures and work instructions.
• Resolve internal and supplier-related issues impacting operations or customers.
• Provide training to quality and operations personnel as required.
• Identify and lead quality improvement projects to meet commitments.
• Drive root cause analysis on QMS misses and implement permanent fixes.
• Lead external customer quality concerns and perform trend analysis for projects.
