Job summary

SMS group is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer I to manage QA systems, ensure customer quality expectations, and maintain compliance across internal and external processes. The role involves collaborating with the Quality Department to enhance the quality system and work with Engineers and Project Managers to establish clear work order instructions.

The ideal candidate will have ISO 9001 knowledge, the ability to measure close tolerances, and solid experience with measurement devices.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to measure close tolerances with precision instruments.
• Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, calipers and calipers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Quality Department to maintain and improve the quality system.
• Work with Engineers/PMs to define work order instructions.
• Calibrate gauges and tooling; maintain calibration records.
