Job summary

Trinity Health in Maywood, Illinois, seeks a Manager of Laboratory Quality Assurance & Point of Care to lead quality, safety, licensure, and accreditation efforts across Loyola Medicine regional laboratories. You’ll drive performance improvement, regulate POCT, and align with regulatory standards to ensure accurate test results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, or other laboratory science.
• Master's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.
• 6–10 years of previous job-related experience.
• Experience in laboratory regulatory, compliance, and accreditation preferred.
• Management experience preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the total quality management (TQM) and performance improvement (PI) systems for the region.
• Projects manage the design, development, coordination, and oversight of quality activities.
• Lead quality improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma processes to improve laboratory efficiencies.
• Provide leadership and education for quality culture development across laboratories.
• Supervise staff to complete quality improvement projects and initiatives.
• Develop and implement a regional quality management program for regional labs, POCT, and satellites.
• Collaborate with Loyola Medicine departments on organizational quality and process improvement.
• Standardize regional quality management systems across the region.
• Prepare regional labs for inspections by licensing and accrediting agencies.
• Direct follow-up consultations to correct deficiencies after inspections.
• Maintain records of inspection activities.
