Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager in Kentucky to develop and maintain our ISO 9001 quality system, ensuring products meet customer specs and achieve high reliability. You will lead a QA team, partner with manufacturing, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You will oversee test procedures, inspections, and quality metrics while collaborating with engineering and plant leadership to resolve issues and protect product quality and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, materials science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5-7+ years of quality experience in manufacturing environments (packaging preferred).
• Experience managing an ISO 9001 QMS, including internal and external audits.
• Prior supervisory experience leading a QA/technical team.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies (8D, 5-Why, fishbone).
• Proficiency with SPC tools and inspection systems.
• Experience resolving customer complaints in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a quality program to ensure conformity of materials and products to standards.
• Oversee ISO 9001 maintenance and quality objectives.
• Review and approve test procedures; support manufacturing operations.
• Establish cost-effective inspection methods aligned with customer requirements.
• Implement quality awareness programs and report results.
• Lead root cause investigations and CAPA actions.
• Communicate effectively with supervision, quality, and R&D.
