Job summary

Inteplast Group in Bluffton, IN seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the QMS, drive quality improvements, and lead investigations into customer complaints and non-conformances. You will mentor the QA team, participate in internal and supplier audits, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001.

You will coordinate with Engineering and Plant Management to implement corrective actions, CAPA, and product revisions while maintaining calibration and documentation control in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of full-time experience in a manufacturing environment with 2–3 years in a direct managerial or supervisory role.
• 3–5 years in quality assurance within manufacturing; plastic experience a plus.
• 3–5 years of ISO 9001 and internal auditing experience.
• Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, root cause analysis and problem-solving.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA is a plus.
• Experience reading engineering blueprints and managing tool calibration schedules.
• Excellent written and oral communication across all levels, including external clients.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; able to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead floor leadership and mentorship for the Quality Assurance Department.
• Perform in-process audits and coordinate internal compliance audits.
• Ensure strict QMS compliance and maintain documentation.
• Monitor quality metrics and investigate customer complaints and non-conformances.
• Use 5-Why methodology for root cause analysis and initiate CAPA.
• Track calibration intervals for measuring tools and keep floor instructions current.
• Collaborate with Engineering during new product start-ups and coordinate product revisions.
• Streamline cross-functional communication between floor operations and engineering.
• Respond to internal floor inquiries and vendor communications promptly.
