Job summary

Searchmasters Inc. in Akron, OH is seeking a quality leadership professional to oversee a team across 3 shifts and drive quality operations in a non-union plastics manufacturing environment.

You will serve as the primary contact for customer interactions, investigate non-conformance issues, and actively engage with production teams to resolve quality challenges on the floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated experience in people management and team leadership.
• Background in any segment of the plastics manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead a team comprising 2 direct reports (Quality Supervisor and SR Technician) along with 12 indirect inspectors across 3 shifts.
• Manage quality operations within a non-union injection molding manufacturing environment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer interactions, addressing concerns and maintaining strong relationships.
• Investigate and resolve non-conformance issues, supplier quality concerns, and containment challenges in a timely manner.
• Operate as a floor-driven leader, actively engaging with production teams to collaboratively address and resolve quality issues.
