We produce high-quality and consistent products, including yogurt (Dahi or Indian, Greek, and traditional), smoothies/yogurt drinks, sour cream, and dips, ranging from single-serve options to food service sizes. We are currently seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our facility in Frederick County, Virginia.

Job Description Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for maintaining Food Safety and Quality Assurance Management Systems to support the manufacturing of wholesome and quality food. The QA Manager serves as SQF Practitioner and maintains and implements Policies and Procedures in accordance with SQF code.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement corrective actions and preventive measures related to food safety and non-conformities
• Supervise one QA Technician
• Implement developed Quality policies and procedures
• Conduct Quality Audits and retain regulatory documentation and records
• Implement cleaning, housekeeping activities, and master sanitation schedule
• Investigate food safety and quality incidents reported through customer complaints and by Production personnel
• Manage Pest Control Program
• Implement Microbiological Program
• Conduct Internal Monthly Audits
• Manage Foreign Material Program
• Manage Product Specification & Compliance with labeling
• Maintain Company Food Safety and Quality Training
• Conduct pro-op and operational inspections
• Sample Finish Goods to ensure regulatory Quality standards are met before release
• Monitor Cooler Temperatures
• Lead Customer and third-party audits
• Respond promptly to customer requests
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance and conduct Auditing
• Approve new ingredients and packaging
• Support product development and launches

Skills / Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of quality experience in food manufacturing (dairy preferred), knowledge of FDA, and experience with 3rd party food safety audits
• Food Safety Certificates: HACCP, SQF Practitioner, PCQI
• Ability to maintain a positive work environment
• Understanding of regulatory guidelines

Compensation

• The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000, based on skills and experience.
