Job summary

Tranont is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the plant quality team in Utah. The role ensures raw materials, formulations, and finished goods meet regulatory standards, cGMP guidelines, and client specs, with hands-on floor involvement.

The incumbent will own ISO cosmetic certifications, drive continuous improvement on the shop floor, and partner with R&D and project management on scale-up, audits, and CAPA processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related field.
• 3+ years of quality management experience within cosmetics, personal care, dietary supplements, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day QC/QA operations on production and packaging lines.
• Ensure FDA, cGMP, and safety compliance for cosmetics and personal care items.
• Perform hands-on quality inspections of materials, in-process production, and finished goods on the plant floor.
• Collaborate with R&D and project management on product scale-up and formulation handoffs.
• Lead internal and external quality audits and CAPA procedures.
• Own and maintain ISO cosmetic certifications (e.g., ISO 22716) and audit readiness, documentation, and renewal processes.
• Train manufacturing staff on quality protocols, documentation accuracy, and hygiene standards.

This is a hands‑on role requiring regular time on the production floor conducting quality inspections, and the Quality Manager owns the facility’s ISO cosmetic certifications. This role champions continuous improvement across the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day quality control and assurance operations across production and packaging lines, including regular hands‑on time on the production floor.
• Enforce compliance with FDA, cGMP, and safety regulations for cosmetics, oral care, and personal care items.
• Conduct hands‑on quality inspections of raw materials, in‑process production, and finished goods on the plant floor; review electronic batch records and approve final products.
• Partner with the in‑house R&D and project management teams during product scale‑up and formulation handoffs.
• Lead internal and external quality audits, managing corrective and preventive action (CAPA) procedures.
• Own and maintain the facility’s ISO cosmetic certifications (e.g., ISO 22716), including audit readiness, documentation, and renewal processes.
• Train manufacturing staff on quality protocols, documentation accuracy, and hygiene standards.
