Placements24 seeks a strategic Quality Assurance Manager to lead the client's quality initiatives in Upington. You will develop, implement, and maintain the QMS to ensure products meet the highest standards.

You will lead a team of quality professionals, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with ISO and other certifications. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in QA/QM within manufacturing, strong leadership, analytical, and audit/CAPA experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Business; Master's degree is a plus.
• 7+ years in Quality Assurance or Quality Management within manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills; audit/regulatory experience.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company's overall Quality Management System (QMS).
• Lead, mentor, and manage the Quality Assurance team, fostering a culture of quality and accountability.
• Oversee all quality control activities, including inspections, testing, and process validation.
• Conduct internal audits and manage external audits to ensure compliance with standards (e.g., ISO).
• Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with all departments to integrate quality principles into their processes and promote a company-wide commitment to quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Science, Business); Master's degree is a plus.
• Significant experience (7+ years) in Quality Assurance or Quality Management, with a proven track record in manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with audit processes and regulatory compliance is essential.
