Job summary

The Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking a Manager, Quality Assurance to lead quality systems, governance, and supplier quality across multiple locations, ensuring robust prevention-focused quality practices.

You will direct quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians, implement PPAP and corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement toward zero defects in products and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Master’s degree or professional certification (CQE, CQA, Six Sigma Black Belt) preferred.
• Typically 7+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, quality systems, or regulated environments.
• Prior people management or QA leadership experience required.
• 3–6+ years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related technical roles.
• Advanced knowledge of quality engineering principles and tools.
• Strong structured problem-solving and analytical capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance systems and procedures
• Ensure effective document control, change management, and quality governance practices
• Maintain alignment with internal quality policies and external regulatory standards
• Provide quality engineering direction to component design and project engineers in multiple locations developing and testing new products
• Support Supplier Quality to qualify and develop electronic contract manufacturers and other electronic component suppliers ensuring robust quality processes to manufacture, assemble and test products
• Provide technical direction to Inspectors, Technicians, Quality Engineers, and other Quality resources
• Support continuous quality improvement activities to pursue zero defects including electronics dashboards and scorecards
• Support introduction of new models and changes with suppliers
• Ensure use of the PPAP process
• Coordinate corrective and preventive action activities and quality metrics
• Implement, improve and maintain document electronic quality processes
