Overview

A metals manufacturing company in Mercer County, PA is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead all quality assurance and quality control activities within its metals manufacturing operations. This position offers the opportunity to drive continuous improvement, strengthen quality systems, and ensure compliance with both customer and industry standards in a dynamic production environment.

Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in alignment with ISO 9001 and customer-specific standards.
• Oversee all inspection, testing, and documentation processes to ensure compliance and traceability.
• Partner with production, engineering, and sales to uphold product quality and meet customer expectations.
• Manage metallurgical and non-destructive testing (NDT) processes related to castings.
• Lead corrective and preventive actions through data-driven analysis of quality metrics and trends.
• Coordinate customer audits and third-party inspections, serving as the main quality liaison.
• Train, mentor, and develop quality personnel while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of quality experience within a metal casting or metals manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of casting processes (e.g., sand casting, green sand, no-bake, or similar).
• Proficiency with quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, and PPAP.
• Experience with NDT methods (radiographic, ultrasonic, dye penetrant) a plus.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
