We're Hiring: Quality Manager – Power Plant Construction | Louisville, KY

Location: Mill Creek Power Plant – Louisville, KY

Contract: 2 years (with likely extension)

Are you a process-driven, technically sound Quality Manager with experience in power generation? We’re looking for an exceptional professional to join a high-impact project involving the installation of a 7HA gas turbine and D600 steam turbine.

Power generation experience is required — especially with gas turbines and combined cycle projects

Familiarity with alignment, mechanical assembly, and welding inspection

At least 5 years in a quality-focused role within industrial construction or energy

Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and customer-facing teams

Experience working with GE systems or stakeholders is a plus

What You'll Do:

Ensure site quality processes are fully implemented and aligned with GE, LG&E, and regulatory requirements

Lead quality activities, audits, and inspections throughout the construction lifecycle

Manage site documentation and inspection/test records to ensure timely and high-quality delivery

Serve as a key communicator with GE teams, TAC, and the customer

Support welding inspection processes and collaborate with third-party inspectors

Contribute to continuous improvement and compliance at every project stage

What We're Looking For:

️ At least 5 years of quality assurance/control experience (power generation preferred)

️ Strong background in mechanical assembly, alignment, and inspection

️ Gas turbine/combined cycle project experience required (knowledge of 7HA/D600 turbines a plus)

️ Critical thinker with strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

️ Ability to work independently and interface clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

️ Must be process-focused and detail-oriented

Nice to Have:

• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• 2-week remote onboarding period before transitioning to on-site work
• Reports to Site Manager, with technical oversight from GE Quality leadership
• Interview process includes 2 stages with quick turnaround
