Job summary

Seneca Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the plant's QA program in Glencoe, MN. This role ensures GMP compliance, food safety, and product quality while coordinating with corporate QA teams.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience, a Food Science degree, and relevant certifications in BPCS, Thermal Processing, and Container Closure, with a focus on continuous improvement and audits across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field.
• Certified in Better Process Control School, Thermal Processing, and Container Closure.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits to monitor compliance with GMP standards, food safety standards, and safety programs.
• Supervise employees on the assigned shift.
• Review and organize plant processing records for conformance with regulations and Company policy.
• Coordinate quality functions with the Corporate quality control team.
• Provide employee training for fill control, sanitation, double seams, product grading, IQF production, and statistical process control.
• Perform audits to monitor sanitary conditions within the facility.
• Administer the Company food safety program.
• Perform investigations of causes for spoilage issues.
• Participate in food safety audits as required.
• Work interdepartmentally to achieve plant quality goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Review and organize plant processing records for conformance with local/state/federal regulations and Company policy.
• Coordinate quality functions with the Corporate quality control team.
• Provide employee training for fill control, sanitation, double seams, product grading, IQF production, and statistical process control.
• Perform audits to monitor the sanitary conditions within the manufacturing facility.
• Administer the Company food safety program.
• Perform investigations of causes for any spoilage issues.
• Participate in food safety audits as required.
• Work interdepartmentally to achieve plant quality goals.

Qualifications

• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness and ability to function in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• One to two years of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field.
• Certified (or able to become certified) in Better Process Control School, Thermal Processing, and Container Closure.
