Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation in Glencoe, MN is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead QA initiatives, oversee audits, and ensure compliance with GMP and food safety standards. The role requires supervisory experience and a food science background.

The starting wage range is $85k-$95k, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, disability coverage, and paid time off. This is an on-site, full-time position in Glencoe, MN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field.
• Certified (or able to become certified) in Better Process Control School, Thermal Processing, and Container Closure.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits to monitor GMP and food safety standards.
• Supervise the assigned shift.
• Review processing records for conformance with regulations and policy.
• Coordinate quality functions with the Corporate quality control team.
• Provide training for fill control, sanitation, double seams, product grading, IQF production, and SPC.
• Perform audits to monitor sanitary conditions in the facility.
• Administer the company food safety program.
• Investigate causes for spoilage issues.
• Participate in food safety audits as required.
• Work interdepartmentally to achieve plant quality goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Perform audits to monitor compliance with all GMP standards, food safety standards, food safety issues, case and label procedures, and safety programs.
• Supervise employees on the assigned shift.
• Review and organize plant processing records for conformance with local/state/federal regulations and Company policy.
• Coordinate quality functions with the Corporate quality control team.
• Provide employee training for fill control, sanitation, double seams, product grading, IQF production, and statistical process control.
• Perform audits to monitor the sanitary conditions within the manufacturing facility.
• Administer the Company food safety program.
• Perform investigations of causes for any spoilage issues.
• Participate in food safety audits as required.
• Work interdepartmentally to achieve plant quality goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness and ability to function in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• One to two years of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field.
• Certified (or able to become certified) in Better Process Control School, Thermal Processing, and Container Closure.

Starting wage range based on skills, abilities, and experience from Wage range will be $85k-$95K.
