Job description

Loloi Rugs is a leading textile brand that designs and crafts rugs, pillows, and throws for the thoughtfully layered home. Family-owned and led since 2004, Loloi is growing more quickly than ever. To date, we’ve expanded our diverse team to hundreds of employees, invested in multiple distribution facilities, introduced thousands of products, and earned the respect and business of retailers and designers worldwide. A testament to our products and our team, Loloi has earned the ARTS Award for “Best Rug Manufacturer” in 2010, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2023, and 2025.

Loloi Rugs is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead Loloi's quality assurance program across rug products and operations, ensuring consistent compliance with company standards for quality, safety, workmanship, construction, dimensions, color, labeling, packaging, and overall product presentation. The role owns quality systems and inspection practices from pre-production through production, shipment, distribution, recovery, and customer returns.

This hands-on leadership position combines warehouse inspection, vendor quality management, inventory analysis, corrective and preventive action, training, and process improvement. Working across Quality, Product Development, Sourcing, Vendor Management, Operations, Distribution Centers, Returns, and Inventory, the manager identifies risks early, resolves root causes, and implements sustainable improvements rather than relying on final inspection alone. This position is based in our Ennis, TX facility and regular onsite attendance is required (if not travelling).

Responsibilities
Quality systems and product standards.

Lead day-to-day QA activities and maintain the standards, SOPs, work instructions, inspection procedures, and documentation needed to apply Loloi requirements consistently. Define acceptance criteria for materials, construction, workmanship, dimensions, color, finishing, labeling, packaging, safety, and compliance; establish controls across the product lifecycle; and monitor performance for recurring or emerging risks.

Inspection and vendor quality.

Develop and calibrate rug inspection methods, sampling plans, AQL requirements, and Critical, Major, and Minor defect classifications. Review inspection results, product audits, test reports, certificates, and vendor documentation; evaluate construction and presentation; and ensure internal and vendor teams interpret standards consistently. Partner with Sourcing and Vendor Management to set expectations, monitor supplier performance, support audits, drive improvement, and escalates significant or repeated issues.

Corrective action and continuous improvement.

Lead investigations into product and process failures, facilitate root-cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions through completion and verification of effectiveness. Use inspection findings, customer returns, RMA data, customer feedback, vendor performance, and operational feedback to identify systemic issues, prioritize improvements, reduce defects and rework, improve efficiency, and sustain results through structured problem solving and Kaizen.

Inventory review, recovery, and disposition.

Review and physically inspect customer returns, lost and temporary bins, damage bins, and rugs with manufacturing or product defects. Classify each rug by condition, defect type, cleanliness, and recovery value; maintain accurate identification, documentation, and inventory tracking; and prioritize aged or stagnant inventory. Determine the appropriate disposition by coordinating cleaning and recovery, return to active inventory when sellability standards are met, second-hand sale, or donation. Document each decision in inventory records and partner with Warehouse and Inventory teams to move products through the process.

Data, training, and compliance.

Develop quality KPIs and performance reports; analyze inspection, vendor, return, RMA, and related data; and provide clear recommendations and updates to leadership. Build and deliver training for Quality, warehouse, vendor, and other personnel on standards, inspection procedures, defect classification, SOPs, and product requirements, while supporting onboarding and ongoing development of Quality team members. Support product safety, compliance, traceability, and recordkeeping, including investigation and escalation of potential safety concerns. Participate in new-product launches and process changes to identify risk before production and promote shared ownership of quality across the organization.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred. Five or more years of progressive quality assurance or quality control experience, preferably in rugs, home furnishings, textiles, manufacturing, or a related industry. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience leading quality personnel, programs, inspections, audits, training, and vendor improvement initiatives across domestic and international operations.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into action; proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems; and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required. International travel includes Turkey, India, China, Egypt, Vietnam, and Thailand. Domestic travel includes Cartersville, Georgia.
