Job summary

Kaizen Approach is seeking a Quality Assurance Linux Administrator to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems across client, server, storage, network, and mobile environments.

The role requires four years of experience, a technical degree or eight years of equivalent experience, and TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. This on-site Maryland position emphasizes reliability and performance in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Configure and manage Linux operating systems, including loading OS software and maintaining system integrity.
• Monitor day-to-day operations and solve issues across client/server/storage/network/mobile environments.
• Provide Tier I (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution for IT system issues.
• Communicate system status to agency management and internal customers during issue resolution.
• Dispatch system and hardware problems and ensure resolution through to closure, improving reliability.

Job description

Kaizen Approach is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Linux Administrator to provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology systems. In this role, you’ll support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution across client, server, storage, network, and mobile device environments. You’ll provide escalation support and communicate system status to agency management and internal customers while remaining engaged through issue resolution, including dispatch system and hardware problems. This position involves configuring and managing Linux operating systems, installing and loading operating system software, maintaining system integrity, configuring network components, and implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems, including ongoing operational support.
• Must possess the ability to manage daily configuration and operation activities for IT systems while optimizing system operations, resource utilization, and performing system capacity analysis and planning.
• Must be capable of configuring and managing Linux operating systems, including loading and installing operating system software, maintaining system integrity, and implementing stability improvements.
• Must have the ability to create and maintain bash shell scripts to support system stability, automation, and deployment repeatability.
• Must possess the ability to provide Tier I (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution for IT system issues.
• Must be capable of troubleshooting hardware problems and remaining engaged throughout the full resolution process to ensure issues are properly resolved.
• Must have the ability to load operating system software, troubleshoot systems, configure network components, and provide detailed analysis and feedback to management and internal customers for escalated trouble tickets.
• Must have four (4) years of experience supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, OR eight (8) years of system administration experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
