Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for a leading steel manufacturer in Beaumont, TX. The role leads the QA team and interfaces with Melt Shop and Rolling Mill operations to ensure product quality and process adherence.

You will evaluate customer specs, drive continuous improvement, and communicate engineering data to meet customer expectations, with relocation assistance to Texas provided.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of steelmaking production processes, metallurgy and rolling practices.
• Four-year engineering degree from an accredited institution.
• 8+ years in a steelmaking environment with quality control or metallurgy experience.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret production data for quality improvements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical coordination and support for Melt Shop and Rolling Mill to ensure quality.
• Evaluate customer requirements and align production with quality expectations.
• Lead QA Engineers and Lab Technicians to drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and review data to produce billets and finished products meeting specs.
• Visit customer sites as needed to address issues and support new product development.
