Job summary

Ahlstrom, based in the United States, seeks a leader to provide leadership and manage all aspects of the Quality Team. You will ensure high product quality for external and internal customers and work with Operations to reduce non-conformances.

You will drive quality systems, collaborate with customers to resolve issues, and lead audits and continuous improvement initiatives across the site. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and strong SAP/ISO knowledge.

Qualifications

• Two years of quality experience in a testing or manufacturing environment.
• Computer literate – Windows/Word/Excel and company software.
• Experience in SAP; Order Plan preferred.
• Excellent professional, written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, interpersonal and statistical skills.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Company during customer and supplier visits.
• Perform internal audits of the quality management system (ISO 9001, 45001, 14001).
• Support production activities as needed.
• Manage Held Goods – determine disposition of held/returned goods and document in system.
• Lead continuous improvement teams and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection system (calibration, software, licenses, etc.).
• Identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing and suppliers to ensure quality of materials and finished products.
• Ensure GMP and FDA compliance where applicable in the USA.
• Supervise Quality Assurance team and develop staff performance.
• Report results to management and mentor staff.
• Lead advanced quality planning activities (FMEA, Capabilities, etc.).
