Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA team, ensuring product quality, process conformity, and ISO 9001 compliance across manufacturing operations in Durham, NC. The role drives QMS development, audits, corrective actions, and cross-functional collaboration to meet internal and external standards.

You will mentor staff, manage metrics, and push for defect-reduction and quality improvements while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management or a related field.
• 10+ years of directly related Quality Experience.
• Requires strong knowledge of Quality management systems and standards.
• Professional certification in Quality Assurance or Quality Management preferred.
• Strong Knowledge of ISO 9001: Certification as an experienced auditor preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (SAP or IFS preferred).
• Ability to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Assurance department to ensure PowerSecure systems and processes meet or exceed Quality requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System including document management and quality performance metrics.
• Manage quality performance metrics and report findings to management and cross-functional teams.
• Lead auditing, 8D corrective actions, root cause analysis, and trend analysis as needed.
• Enforce QA/QC policies and procedures in response to nonconformances encountered during inspections and commissioning.
• Drive continuous improvement and reduce defects per unit (DPU) both in production and in the field.
