Job summary

NWPX Infrastructure, Inc. is seeking a QA Manager for its Portland manufacturing facility. The role will plan, coordinate, and direct the Quality Control program to ensure continuous compliance with established standards, either personally or through supervisors.

The successful candidate will study statistical data, set QC objectives, supervise inspection, and drive training initiatives while addressing customer quality concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university with related experience and at least five years in a managerial role.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, technical procedures or regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information clearly to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Ability to work with probability, statistics, geometry, and mathematical concepts.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions practically.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data and specifications to determine quality standards and reliability for finished products.
• Formulate and maintain quality objectives; coordinate with production to maximize compliance and minimize costs.
• Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel in the organization.
• Direct inspection and testing to monitor production and finished goods.
• Plan and organize training activities related to product quality.
• Assist in investigating internal and external customer quality complaints.
• Supervise QA/QC personnel, including regular staff; handle interviews, training, and performance reviews.
