Job summary

Magnera in Waynesboro, VA is seeking a QA/Operations technician to uphold safety and quality across the lab and production lines.

You will apply ISO procedures, control charts, CpK and SPC tools, perform calibration and testing, and collaborate with QA and operations to drive continuous improvement while training others as needed. Qualifications

• Ability to read charts and document numbers accurately.
• Ability to read electrical indicators and lab data.

Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks in a safe manner.
• Understand and fully utilize all ISO procedures, control charts, CpK, and other SPC tools and measurements; recommend improvements based on statistical data and observation.
• Operate all diagnostic equipment needed to perform job
• Perform all in-process and finished product testing as required by specification or as assigned by management.
• Calibrate all testing equipment in the lab.
• Coordinate with QA Lead, Shift Supervisor, Line Leader, Production Technician, Process Engineer, and other Operations team members to resolve issues or discrepancies.
• Actively participate in safety, product, and compliance audits
• Enter correct data into Quality Windows, perform analysis of data, and report trends that indicate process issues.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the QA and Operations teams.
• Communicate effectively with internal customers as well as co-workers to solve problems and enhance capabilities of the team
• Train others as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
