Job summary

Magnera Corporation, based in Waynesboro, VA, seeks a QA/Operations technician to perform tasks safely and follow ISO procedures. You will operate diagnostic equipment and conduct in-process and finished product testing per specifications.

You will Calibrate lab testing equipment, enter data into Quality Windows, analyze trends, and participate in audits and continuous improvement with the QA and Operations teams. Training others and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to make decisions regarding work priorities.
• Ability to read charts and document numbers and events on paper and in computer.
• Ability to read electrical indicators and laboratory equipment indicators.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to interact with digital and basic computerized record & control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks in a safe manner.
• Understand and fully utilize all ISO procedures, control charts, histograms, CpK, and other SPC tools and measurements; recommend improvements based on statistical data and observation.
• Operate all diagnostic equipment needed to perform job.
• Perform all in-process and finished product testing as required by specification or as assigned by management.
• Calibrate all testing equipment in the lab.
• Coordinate with QA Lead, Shift Supervisor, Line Leader, Production Technician, Process Engineer, and other Operations team members to resolve issues or discrepancies.
• Actively participate in safety, product, and compliance audits
• Enter correct data into Quality Windows, perform analysis of data, and report trends that indicate process issues.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the QA and Operations teams.
• Communicate effectively with internal customers as well as co-workers to solve problems and enhance capabilities of the team
• Train others as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
