Job summary

The Neil Jones Food Company in Vancouver, WA is seeking a part-time Quality Assurance Lab Tech II for 3rd shift to grade processed and raw fruit products and conduct routine QA analyses, including recording and retrieving QA information at the Northwest Packing plant.

Responsibilities include performing pre-op inspections, GMP audits, CCP and sanitation verifications, and testing for Brix, pH, turbidity and viscosity, with accurate documentation and cross-team communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance, food safety, or laboratory testing required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required: associate degree or coursework in food science, microbiology, or a related field preferred.
• Strong Understand of GMPs. HACCP principles, CCPs, and food safety systems.
• Ability to independently perform routine QA testing, inspections, and verify compliance to specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation and ability to communicate effectively across production and QA teams
• Eligible for paid sick leave

Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.

We are looking for a part-time3rd Shift Quality Assurance Lab Technician II to be responsible for the grading of processed and raw fruit products in accordance with standard operating procedures; recording, checking and retrieval of QA information. Performs laboratory analyses on samples and related work associated with monitoring and sampling. Ensures timely and accurate documentation is completed at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA. This is a swing shift part-time job – (full time 40 hours during our fresh pack season, typically July – November, and when running production off season, part time the rest of the year).
