Job summary

Kautex, a Textron subsidiary, offers a quality-focused internship with exposure to PPAP paperwork, customer support, and manufacturing quality systems. You will work with engineering and quality teams to learn data integration, tooling evaluation, and corrective actions in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an engineering or quality discipline, with strong communication skills and an interest in IATF processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Systems Management or other related discipline.
• Preference given to candidates who possess skills in Data Integration, Software Development, Thermal Management, and Materials Science.
• Previous manufacturing experience an asset.
• Microsoft application skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Customer contact: address concerns, review rejected material, attend product focus team meetings, prepare PPAP paperwork, sample preparation and follow up, update Customer Control Plans, communicate concerns within facility, corrective action reporting.
• Review tooling layouts and prepare samples; support communication of findings.
• Process sheet review, record keeping, engineering change review, quality system audits, support for manufacturing problems, capability and gage studies.
• Attend internal and external quality meetings.
• Investigate, assess and report on any nonconforming process or product.
• Implement corrective actions or preventative actions for customer issues.
• Understand IATF system requirements.
