Job summary

Kautex is offering a 2027 internship in Quality in San Antonio, TX, providing hands-on experience in customer-facing quality activities and PPAP documentation within a global automotive supplier context.

You will participate in cross-functional teams, support process improvements, and contribute to nonconforming material investigations while learning IATF requirements and quality systems in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Systems Management or related discipline.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
• Previous manufacturing experience an asset.
• Preference for data integration, software development, thermal management, and materials science.

Responsibilities

• Customer contact: address concerns, review rejected material, attend product focus meetings, prepare PPAP and update Customer Control Plans.
• Quote Process - Review weight calculation for quote process.
• General - Process sheet review, record keeping, engineering change review, audit quality system, support manufacturing problems.
• Attend internal and external quality meetings.
• Authority to investigate, assess and report on any nonconforming process or product.
• Implement corrective actions or preventative actions for customer issues.
• Understanding of IATF system requirements.
