Job summary

OneSource Distributors, part of the Sonepar group, seeks a Warehouse Inspector to perform incoming inspections, record-keeping, and material handling in Oceanside, CA. The role requires reading specifications, using measuring tools, and communicating results with teams and suppliers.

The position offers a daytime, non-exempt schedule with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits; forklift certification is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Able to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Must be able to identify/recognize inspection errors.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• Ability to adapt to an everchanging work environment.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Word, MS Excel software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming receiving and receiving inspections.
• Create and view records of receipt/inspection in a computer system.
• Convey material from receiving to storage or designated areas.
• Scan and place material on racks per warehouse location.
• Read work orders and system notes for material handling.
• Create discrepant material reports / enter nonconformance data.
• Quarantine non-conforming materials and report discrepancies.
• Use hand tools to measure parts to specifications.
• Communicate inspection results to internal groups and suppliers.
• Perform cycle counts and verify stock quantities.
