Job summary

Apex Water and Process is seeking a Quality Control Technician to help ensure the quality and compliance of engineered products and fabricated assemblies through inspections, testing, and accurate documentation. This role supports quality activities throughout production—from incoming materials through FAT and finished goods, with emphasis on ITPs, MTRs, and welding documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and relevant QA/QC experience.
• Ability to read P&IDs, drawings, weld symbols and specs.
• Strong attention to detail with organized inspection records.
• Proficiency with MS Office and QA documentation systems.
• Willingness to travel to Chanhassen as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, FAT and final inspections per specs.
• Manage ITPs, MTRs, traceability, weld docs and records.
• Support welder qualification and continuity records per AWS/ASME IX.
• Coordinate testing (PMI, hydrostatic) and review results.
• Verify code, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle nonconforming products, NCRs, and root-cause analysis.
• Communicate quality findings with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and improve quality procedures and calibration.
• Participate in internal quality and safety audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
