Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform routine quality inspections and audits across production, ensuring adherence to First Solar specifications and standards. You will provide guidance and training on those standards as the Quality Representative to Production and Engineering.

You will participate in cross-functional teams to define and implement corrective/preventive actions and continuous improvement activities, supporting ISO 9001 frameworks and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2 years postsecondary studies, associate degree, or professional certification (technical field preferred) or 7 yrs related quality experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.
• ASQ Certification (CMI, CPT, CQA) desired.
• 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing Environment required.
• 5 years’ experience within ISO 9001 (or equivalent) Quality System desired.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished material; analyze data for trends and discrepancies.
• Monitor and audit Manufacturing Processes and Equipment against Core Documentation and report discrepancies.
• Complete day-to-day duties and responsibilities under minimal supervision.
• Interface with other departments, suppliers, customers, and third-party representatives.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
