Job summary

First Solar in Trinity, AL is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to support manufacturing through audits of standard work, in-process and finished products, and supplier parts. You will analyze data for trends, drive corrective actions, and partner with supervisors and engineers to reduce scrap and improve process reliability.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing, ISO 9001 experience, and technical degrees; ASQ credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 years’ ISO Quality System experience, including Internal Audits, use of SPC techniques, and JMP Data Analytics.
• ASQ Certification (CMI, CPT, CQA) desired.
• 2-year Technical Degree.
• 4-year B.S. degree highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Complete assignments and projects as directed, with minimal supervision.
• Inspect incoming materials and outgoing product and provide feedback to Engineering and Manufacturing for corrective/preventive action.
• Maintain Quality Control Procedures and records per Company Policy and ISO Standards.
• Complete internal audits per a defined schedule including a specified format for documentation of findings.
• Train personnel on various quality programs.
• Define and implement corrective/preventive actions and continuous improvement activities.
• Conduct effective communications levels and fosters team building.
• Interface with other departments and supplier representatives.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
