Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an aircraft quality and maintenance professional to support U-2 ATR and PDM operations at Beale AFB. You will inspect electrical, avionics, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, ensure airworthiness, and update aircraft records.

You will plan audits, investigate incidents, and draft engineering dispositions while reporting status to the QA supervisor. The role requires US citizenship, ability to work various shifts, and alignment with the company’s safety and quality

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 years quality assurance experience in aircraft.
  • Minimum 3 years aircraft operations experience.
  • Experience in reading and comprehending blueprints, engineering specifications and drawings, technical data and planning documents.
  • Experience in using various inspection measurement tools.

Performs the inspection of aircraft for functional operation and conformance to government and company standards and specifications. Inspects the installation and operation of electrical, avionics, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of the aircraft. Ensure aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight. Ability to plan/conduct Process Compliance Surveillance Program (PCSP) audits. Ability to conduct incident and/or mishap investigation audits, prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and trends including failed process, recalls, corrective actions, and validations. Ensure aircraft records are updated and maintained. Ability to draft/submit engineering disposition request. Keep the quality assurance supervisor updated with quality status of aircraft.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Interim clearance to start with the ability to obtain a Final Secret Clearance. Considered candidates must be capable of working first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) shift(s) and weekends dependent on customer needs.

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 years quality assurance experience in aircraft.
  • Minimum 3 years aircraft operations experience.
  • Experience in reading and comprehending blueprints, engineering specifications and drawings, technical data and planning documents.
  • Experience in using various inspection measurement tools.
Desired Skills
  • Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • Previous U-2 experience.
  • Experience with AS9100 Quality systems.
  • Experience with DCMA 8210 Contractor’s Flight and Ground Operations.
  • Knowledgeable of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Prevention, Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs.
  • Aircraft PDM experience.
  • Experience in aircraft quality processes and procedures.
  • Experience in aircraft crew escape systems (i.e. canopy and ejection seat).
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $37.55 - $69.71
