Summary

The Quality Assurance Inspector performs inspections and other quality assurance functions to ensure conformance to shipbuilding and repair drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. Responsibilities include conducting audits, surveillance, drafting reports, reviewing technical documentation, and performing administrative tasks related to quality in all phases of ship construction and repair. The role reports to the Supervisor or Manager of Quality Assurance and involves internal contacts with Purchasing, Warehousing, Safety, Production, and Engineering, as well as external contacts with equipment vendors, customers, regulatory agencies, and military personnel.
