Job description

We are seeking a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team. The role involves communication across all employee levels, from Mechanics to Program Managers. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday, but can vary based on mission requirements, including weekends and holidays as needed. Hours will be determined by the unit.

Summary:

Responsible for ensuring the quality of aircraft, components, repairs, and overhauls. Ensures procedural compliance with Service directives and standards. Conducts inspections of company areas for housekeeping, safety, and environmental compliance. Performs technical inspections of aircraft and related equipment.

Requirements:
  1. Perform quality inspections of aircraft, components, parts, repairs, and systems including avionics, electrical, instruments, and armament.
  2. Conduct safety inspections of equipment and tools used in maintenance and support vehicles.
  3. Carry out initial, in-progress, and final inspections during maintenance, repair, and overhaul processes.
  4. Inspect procedural forms, supply forms, and maintenance records used in aircraft maintenance.
  5. Maintain aircraft records using the OOMA system and assist in internal audits of policies and procedures.
  6. Perform duties in accordance with TC03-04.7 and NAVAIR 4790 series standards.
  7. Conduct technical inspections, corrosion control, and provide guidance to mechanics to ensure quality work.
  8. Assist with Product Quality Deficiency Reports and maintain aircraft logbooks, records, and weight/balance data.
  9. Read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals, using measuring instruments and test equipment accurately.
  10. Manage control numbers, logs, and reports related to quality control and maintenance.
  11. Support aircraft accident investigations and monitor compliance with safety and environmental programs.
  12. Prepare damage reports, track documentation, and ensure compliance with airworthiness and safety messages.
  13. Input and manage aircraft logbook data, and demonstrate proficiency with diagnostic tools.
  14. Possess thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance practices.
  15. Provide on-the-job training and monitor training requirements as needed.
  16. Ensure tools and equipment are calibrated and used according to current standards.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.
Education, Certifications & Additional Requirements:
  • Qualified in a primary MOS from specified fields (e.g., Aviation C2 Electronics Maintenance, Aircraft Maintenance, or Avionics).
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience as a Collateral Duty Inspector on CH or MH53E aircraft.
  • Knowledge of ANSI/ISO/ASQ Q9001-2000 quality management systems.
  • Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain necessary security clearances.
Physical Requirements:

Must be capable of performing duties in a hangar environment, lifting at least 50 lbs, and wearing personal protective equipment as required.
