Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector for the 2nd shift, onsite. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections, operate precision measuring equipment, and document results to ensure compliance with drawings and procedures.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience. Applicants may be eligible for a range of benefits and union considerations apply.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• In compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of parts, tools, gauges, and equipment per written procedures and drawings.
• Plan and conduct inspections using standard methods and measurement procedures.
• Determine conformity of inspected material and decide on acceptance, rework, or rejection.
• Operate fixed and variable precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Record inspection results and complete all required documentation.
• Support SPC and other quality programs and assist investigations into nonconformances.
