Job summary

STEICO Industries Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector on a first shift (PM) in Oceanside, CA. The role requires inspecting and testing products to ensure they meet blueprint, PO, and customer specifications, and to uphold safety, integrity, and quality standards.

Pay ranges from $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, depending on experience. The candidate will document FAI measurements, prepare AS9102 reports, and collaborate with various departments to ensure timely, compliant shipments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of QA engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring gauges, calipers and instruments.
• Effective communication with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Final inspection of product to ensure compliance with customer specs and PO requirements.
• Inspect, test and measure materials or products being produced.
• Document FAI measurements and complete AS9102 first article reports.
• Act as liaison with other departments and provide technical guidance.
• Investigate and implement process improvements for quality, cost and speed.
• Report quality problems to QA Manager and follow through on corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection records and defect lists; coordinate with other departments for part acceptance.
• Ensure all QA procedures are followed during every production phase.
• Take full responsibility for product shipped to customers.
• Perform other duties as needed

As a Quality Inspector you will:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for upholding current safety policies and oversees the product development process to ensure that all products meet quality standards. The Quality Inspector is also responsible for performing tests on products at various stages of production to ensure that customer specifications, blueprint, and Purchase Order requirements are being met and company quality standards are followed.

Responsibilities

• Final inspection of product to ensure compliance to customer technical specifications, blueprint and Purchase Order requirements.
• Inspect, test and/or measure materials or products being produced.
• Document FAI measurement results and complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
• Act as liaison with other departments and organizations.
• Provide leadership, technical advice and council to team members.
• Investigate, recommend, and implement process improvements that effect quality, cost and speed.
• Reports quality problems or finds to QA Manager and follows up to ensure corrective action takes place.
• Maintains record of inspections and prepares lists of defects, interacts with other departments to ensure compliance with specifications and to facilitate the acceptance of parts.
• Ensure that all quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed during every production phase.
• Must take full responsibility for product that is shipped to Customers
• Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate
