Job summary

Client is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector in Foothill Ranch, CA to support product inspection and approval activities within the Quality Department.

The role involves reading engineering drawings, performing dimensional and visual inspections, documenting results, and coordinating containment and corrective actions with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical, engineering, quality, manufacturing, or related field preferred; bachelor’s degree a plus.
• 3+ years of Quality Assurance, inspection, manufacturing, automotive, or related technical experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using dimensional inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and thread gages.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier submission, PPAP, and First Article Inspections (FAI) to verify product conformance to drawings, specifications, and approved/OE samples.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, dimensional requirements, and inspection criteria.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections using calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, height gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Document inspection results in inspection reports, Excel, ERP systems, and quality records.
• Identify nonconforming product and support containment, corrective actions, and supplier follow-up.
