Responsibilities

Average Work Schedule:

6 AM - 2:30 PM from Monday to Friday with possible overtime after the shift and/or on Saturdays depending on work needs.

Job Summary

Lucchese Boots are the highest quality cowboy boots in the industry. The quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for maintaining the quality in a high-mix, elevated boot and footwear factory. You will work closely with the production department to ensure compliance with industry standards. In addition, this position will support the Quality Assurance Manager in different processes aligned with Lucchese values, consistent policy administration, and a safe work environment.

Scope of Job

The Quality Assurance Inspector verifies the conformance of a variety of parts, products, and processes. Ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality before reaching the customer. Demonstrated ability to use a computer and standard business software including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) along with the ability and willingness to learn additional software programs as required such as NetSuite.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-process/final inspections to ensure that all products meet our quality standards.
  • Conduct Incoming inspections for different products to ensure that all meet our quality standards, such as boots, belts, cloth and accessories, but not limited to the previously mentioned.
  • Perform QC inspections to identify defects and ensure that all products meet our specifications.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure that all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections and test results.
  • Learn and support multiple quality workstations/process.
  • Assist other working areas as necessary.
General Responsibilities

  • Meet departmental production targets and quality standards.
  • Support teamwork and assist other departments as needed.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the direct leader.
  • Support and comply with all company policies and safety procedures.

  • Maintain consistent output aligned with departmental productivity standards.
  • Minimize rework by adhering to process specifications and visual inspection standards.
  • Accurately complete data entry in quality documentation.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to rotate stations without compromising efficiency or quality.

  • QA and Reasoning Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects. Working knowledge and experience performing quality system and process audits. Ability to work in a fast-paced/stressed environment while maintaining safety and quality priorities. Ability to perform all job functions in adherence to Lucchese philosophy and values, policies as well as the Environmental, Health and Safety standards and responsibility for housekeeping in the assigned area.
Education, Experience, and/or Certifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or any certification in quality control inspection.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of three (3) years using methodologies within a Quality Management System.
