Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree in Agriculture, Food Science or related field; equivalent work experience considered.
• 3-5 years of QA leadership experience in a related industry.
• HACCP training and hands-on microbiology skills are required.
• Certified Auditor in GFSI standards such as FSSC2000, SQF, or BRC preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) requested.
• Strong multitasking ability and crisis management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Quality Assurance department and staff, developing and monitoring policies related to food safety, food security and QA programs.
• Evaluate quality systems, propose improvements, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, HACCP, GMPs and related programs.
• Maintain sanitation programs, facility inspections, and staff training across QA and sanitation.
• Coordinate audits with internal and external entities and prepare management reports.
• Interface with customers on product development and problem-solving projects.
• Lead lab management and environmental monitoring, ensuring GLP adherence.
