Actalent is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to lead quality initiatives in a manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes Lean practices, cross-functional collaboration, and driving measurable improvements across operations, with emphasis on audits, certifications, and data-driven decisions.

You will mentor teams, investigate quality concerns, and present findings to senior leadership, while ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Quality Management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong expertise in Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality standards, and process improvement methodologies.
• Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining quality procedures, standards, and SOPs.
• Demonstrated success applying Lean principles and continuous improvement tools to drive measurable results.
• Knowledge of quality-related certifications, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage all levels of an organization.
• Proven leadership ability with experience influencing teams, driving change, and building a culture of quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems, processes, and standards that ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and business requirements.
• Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and maintain adherence to quality standards.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives that standardize, simplify, and optimize operations across multiple facilities.
• Drive projects focused on reducing waste, improving efficiency, and enhancing overall operational performance.
• Serve as a quality subject matter expert, providing guidance and strategic direction to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate and lead efforts to achieve and maintain quality certifications and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Partner with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to identify and implement impactful quality improvements.
• Analyze quality metrics and performance data to uncover trends, solve recurring issues, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Develop and deliver training programs that strengthen quality awareness, accountability, and best practices throughout the organization.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, problem-solving, and operational excellence.
• Build strong supplier partnerships by establishing quality expectations, conducting audits, and driving corrective actions when needed.
• Investigate customer quality concerns, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and present meaningful quality performance reports and recommendations to sr. leadership.
