Job summary

Avient Corporation is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the plant quality system and product testing, overseeing the entire Quality Department. The role includes maintaining ISO 9001 certification, coordinating CAPA actions, and driving continuous improvement across Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years in manufacturing with leadership in quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years in a Quality leadership role.
• 5+ years’ experience in Problem Solving Techniques and Root Cause Analysis.
• Quality System Management with ISO experience, highly preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Continuous Improvement experience, highly preferred.
• Experience managing color acuity, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represents the plant and Avient in all aspects of dealings with customers, the technology community, and the commercial group.
• Resolves and communicates customer complaints.
• Manages technical and quality questions from internal and external sources.
• Oversees manufacturing-related processes to ensure product conformance and control.
• Ensures process conditions are monitored and controlled for product consistency.
• Oversees testing per Avient procedures and timely product grading.
• Coordinates investigation and corrective action on plant-related customer complaints.
• Uses Customer Feedback and CAPA modules in ETQ to document actions.
• Collaborates with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and Technical staff to resolve issues.
• Assesses training needs and provides training to lab/production employees.
• Maintains certification and regulatory requirements including ISO 9001.
• Leads continuous improvement projects and system enhancements.
