We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to manage a full spectrum of quality requirements for assigned project. This role ensures compliance with AS9100 standards, customer requirements, and internal SOPs, while driving continuous improvement and high-quality performance across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, hands‑on QA experience, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and customers.

The Quality Assurance Engineer II manages and supports daily activities for all quality aspects related to circuit card assembly, cables, and electro‑mechanical assembly for specific program(s) or for a specific Customer's contract(s).

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages all of the Quality Assurance requirements of assigned projects including but not limited to Contract and Requirements Reviews, Quality Planning, Control Plans, First Article Inspection (FAI), Floor Support, Product Release, and Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
  • Plan, develop, and executes processes to ensure projects operate in accordance with AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Assurance related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), customer contractual requirements, Quality Clauses, FARs, and DFARs.
  • Evaluate and disposition nonconforming material.
  • Manage Customer Complaints, quality performance, and customer QA portals.
  • Investigate and document Root Cause, Corrective Action, and Preventative Action Reports.
  • Perform and document all tasks related to First Article Inspection.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customer quality representatives.
  • Develop and write project related plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Support Management through creation, improvement, and maintaining of processes and procedures.
  • Develop skills required to act as corporate Subject Matter Expert (SME). Possible areas: PWB Fabrication, Soldering, CMM, GIDEP, Reliability and Maintainability (RAM), ERP or Quality software.
  • Support bidding activities and proposal writing as assigned.
  • Performs process manufacturing and process audits and participate in process improvement.
  • Executes all duties in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.

  • Experience with Configuration Management and capable of understanding contract language, military and industry standards, technical drawings, part lists, engineering changes, and variances.
  • Ability to take initiative, to meet deadlines, and to work independently and in team environments.
  • Experienced with application and usage of standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gages, etc)
  • Knowledge of statistics, probability, algebra and scientific notation.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with a diverse workforce and interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Experienced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and databases.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field; or 8+ years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in lieu of degree combined with a demonstrated track‑record of accomplishments and with satisfying customer's requirements.
Work Environment:
  • Office Environment: Requires physical capability to work in an office environment including sit/stand up to 9 hours a day, lifting 30 lbs, and use basic office tools such as a computer, copier/printer, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Hours: 7:00 AM - 5 PM Monday - Thursday; Friday 7:00 AM - 4 PM with additional hours as needed to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations.
  • 9/80 work schedule.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
