NSK Americas, Inc. in Indiana seeks a Quality Engineer to maintain and improve NSK’s Automotive Quality Assurance System, and to develop and train staff on new standards.
You will review customer and supplier quality expectations, support AIAG, IATF/ISO compliance, lead audits, manage document control, and participate in APQP and PPAP activities.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and a hands-on, self-motivated approach to use NSK processes and drive continuous improvement.

The Quality Engineer acts as a resource in maintaining and improving the NSK’s Automotive Quality Assurance System. Responsible to develop new and/or revise existing Quality Systems and Standards, in conjunction with established internal and external standards. Develop and provide training for the implementation of these standards.
Reviews Customer and NSKA provided QA expectations and provides communication to the other departments as required.
Understands and supports the customer requirements, AIAG requirements, and IATF/ISO requirements to assure NSK is in compliance with all applicable standards.
Supports internal and external IATF/ISO audits and special assessments when applicable to the site.
Oversees and provides guidance on NSK document control system and corrective action process.
Reviews contents of PPAP’s and other supplier documentation prior to approval.
Participates in APQP for all new programs and engineering changes.
Maintains Change management associated with the Quality of the products produced and the requirements set forth by the Customers.
Conducts supplier audits as well as performs follow-up for corrective actions.
Monitors Supply base utilizing NSK’s database and ensuring NSK’s expectations are understood.
Reviews and updates quality expectations, policies, and procedures as required for NSK departments.
Supports other aspects of Quality assurance including Part Quality, Process Quality, and Systems Quality where needed.
Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college or technical school) or work equivalent, field of study: Engineering.
Engineer Level, C, B, A will depend on position related experience.
