Job summary

NSK Liberty is seeking a highly skilled process engineer to take on a multifaceted role. You will work with cross-functional teams to refine product designs to increase producibility, decrease costs and improve efficiencies in the manufacturing environment.

Develop and evaluate machine designs, provide budgeting input, and collaborate with vendors and other plants to deliver projects on time. Occasional travel required (approximately 10%).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (four year college or technical school) in Engineering or related field.
  • Travel required: 10%.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize engineering tools to develop specifications and design solutions for preventive engineering projects and new equipment development.
  • Develop and evaluate machine designs against company engineering standards and safety policies.
  • Provide input for the development of capital and expense budgets and manage spending.
  • Identify and develop vendors to support engineering projects and collaborate with them to specify, quote, order, evaluate and test parts and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other plants and departments to develop means, timing and methods to complete projects.
  • Develop and manage detailed action plans and lead cross functional teams.
  • Support the design, build and runoff of production equipment.
  • Develop appropriation requests, status reports, manuals and training materials for projects and deliver reports and training as needed.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, repair and machine overhauls.
  • Complete other engineering functions as necessary.
