Job summary

NSK-Corporation in Indiana is seeking a Quality Engineer to maintain and improve the Automotive Quality Assurance System and to develop or revise standards. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement quality processes.

You will support AIAG, IATF/ISO compliance, audits, document control, and supplier quality activities. Training will be developed and delivered to ensure adoption of standards across the organization.

Qualifications

• Reviews customer and NSK QA expectations and communicates to other departments as required.
• Understands and supports customer requirements, AIAG requirements, and IATF/ISO requirements to assure NSK is in compliance with all applicable standards.
• Supports internal and external IATF/ISO audits and site assessments when applicable to the site.
• Oversees and provides guidance on NSK document control system and corrective action process.
• Reviews contents of PPAP’s and other supplier documentation prior to approval.
• Participates in APQP for all new programs and engineering changes.
• Maintains Change management associated with the Quality of the products produced and the requirements set forth by the Customers.
• Conducts supplier audits as well as performs follow-up for corrective actions.
• Monitors Supply base utilizing NSK’s database and ensuring NSK’s expectations are understood.
• Reviews and updates quality expectations, policies, and procedures as required for NSK departments.
• Supports other aspects of Quality assurance including Part Quality, Process Quality, and Systems Quality where needed.

Job description

Quality Engineer acts as a resource in maintaining and improving the NSK’s Automotive Quality Assurance System. Responsible to develop new and/or revise existing Quality Systems and Standards, in conjunction with established internal and external standards. Develop and provide training for the implementation of these standards.
