Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a QA Coordinator to improve and sustain quality across manufacturing and supplier processes in a fast-paced environment. You will drive improvements in product quality, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help reduce the cost of poor quality.

Responsibilities include monitoring FPY, leading technicians, and supporting PFMEA/APQP initiatives while aligning with safety and efficiency goals across the campus.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of APQP, problem solving, sampling, statistical analysis, and root cause analysis.
  • 1-3 years of quality experience across plants.
  • Experience with SAP or ETQ systems.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate field and internal failures using problem-solving and root cause analysis tools; support Non-Conformance Material Reviews and coordinate cost-effective rework and disposition activities.
  • Monitor and report First Pass Yield (FPY), scrap, and other key quality performance data to the Campus.
  • Lead Quality Technicians in daily operational and tactical activities while promoting team engagement, accountability, and quality performance.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, throughput, inventory, efficiency, and plant profitability.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, customers, and suppliers to identify and implement improvements in quality, ergonomics, manufacturability, and process repeatability.
  • Support supplier quality through partnership development, education, audits, performance reporting, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Lead and support quality planning and engineering activities, including PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), project management, and new product quality planning.
  • Support the overall quality strategy through effective cross-functional communication, mentoring, training, project reviews, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • 1-3 years of Quality Experience across plants.
  • Evidence of knowledge of the Quality Sciences -APQP, Problem solving, sampling, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, PDCA.
  • 1 year experience working with SAP or ETQ systems.
  • Proven success as a proactive, collaborative influencer creating a unified team toward a common quality performance goal.
  • Six sigma greenbelt or black belt a plus.
  • Ability to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Work environment includes both office and manufacturing floor settings - temperatures will vary.
