Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Monroe, LA is seeking a QA Technician to support quality on the manufacturing floor. You will apply inspection procedures, troubleshoot processes, and ensure products meet established standards through teamwork and precise measurement.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of quality experience, with familiarity in measuring tools, GD&T, and interpreting blueprints, and an ability to maintain accurate records and compliance with ISO/EHS

Responsibilities

• Operate CMMs and precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, comparators).
• Interpret drawings, specifications and GD&T to ensure product compliance.
• Perform inspections (PPAP, FAI, in-process, floor-sample, vendor parts).
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports and calibration documentation.
• Ensure measurement equipment is calibrated and traceable; support investigations.
• Collaborate with quality and production teams on improvements and root-cause analysis.
• Follow ISO, EHS, PPE, safety and 5S procedures; keep area compliant.

Job Overview:

This role will be responsible for providing quality support through knowledge of inspection procedures and tools, and ability to troubleshoot within in a manufacturing facility. A Quality Technician works with a team to ensure all products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate is adaptable, a team player, a great communicator, and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CMMs and precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and comparators.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to ensureproduct compliance.
• Perform inspections including PPAP, FAI, in-process, floor-sample, and vendor-part inspections.
• Conduct process audits, identify defects/nonconformances, document findings, and enter data into ERP systems.
• Maintain accurate quality records, inspectionreports, calibration documentation, and ISO-related records.
• Ensure measurement equipment is calibrated, maintained, and traceable; supportinvestigations involving measurement issues.
• Collaborate with quality and production teams on workflow improvements, root-cause analysis, NCMs, and continuous improvementinitiatives.
• Follow ISO, EHS, PPE, safety, 5S, and workplace procedures while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work area.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED)
• 2+years’ experience in quality experience

Preference:

• Experience using various hand, pneumatic, and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and presses
• Ability to read and understand the bill of materials and work order instructions, blueprints, or technical drawings
• Demonstrated time management skills, strategic thinking, and adaptability
• General computer knowledge (i.e. log on credentials, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel)
