Job summary

PVH in Belton, MO is seeking an Auto Detailer to inspect and detail vehicles to meet high standards. You will clean interiors and exteriors using vacuums, pressure washers, and tools, photograph and stage vehicles for handoff, and ensure a quick, quality turnaround in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and 1–2 years of detailing experience, with strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Log vehicle information into the computer upon satisfactory completion of inspection.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report incidents to management.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Inspect vehicle quality and identify any vehicles that do not meet company standards.
  • Communicate with team members positively when quality does not meet standards.
  • Assist on the detail line and perform final detail tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment, and friendly disposition.
  • Assist with shop cleaning and basic equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report all incidents to management immediately.
  • Properly log vehicle information into the computer upon satisfactory completion of inspection.
  • Photograph and stage vehicles to ensure focused and clear pictures per standards.
  • Return customers' vehicles in clean condition.
  • Advise the designated manager of all equipment breakdowns and required maintenance immediately.
  • Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee and customer accidents, injuries, and loss or damage to any property.
  • Practice and promote company Core Values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • 1–2 years of auto detailing experience preferred.
  • Auction knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Well‑organized, responsible, and adept at problem‑solving with strong multitasking skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments, including exposure to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold).
  • Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.

Physical Work Requirements

Frequent: standing, watching, touching, listening, walking, talking, stooping, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, lifting, balancing. Potential: running, jumping, yelling or other rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable to definitions for clerical, administrative, machine operator positions.

Working Conditions

This position is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, and minor atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors and dust associated with service station and petroleum dispensing operations.
