Job summary

TSMC Arizona is hiring a Quality Assurance and Control Engineer to oversee quality operations on the F21 FAB project in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires strong reliability, integrity, and collaboration with internal and external teams to ensure quality policies are implemented and followed.

The position emphasizes daily QC/QA oversight, procedures compliance, and coordinating with subcontractors to maintain robust quality controls and safety standards at the manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of large project/construction management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Construction Standards and Best Practices.
• Proficiency with Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, MS Office, Smartsheet, ACC, Bluebeam and BIM 360 Field.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards for industrial construction (prefers semiconductor).
• Experience interpreting and enforcing contract requirements, drawings, specifications and codes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor welding procedures to ensure compliance with ASTM, ASME, or AWS.
• Identify issues such as improper welding techniques or material defects.
• Visually inspect welds and fusions and verify adherence to procedures.
• Monitor and enforce three levels of inspection.
• Conduct daily observations and document results of inspections.
• Prepare quality management plans for specialized projects.
• Schedule and conduct pre-installation conferences.
• Chair and document weekly QC meetings with stakeholders.
• Oversee daily and weekly QC/QA reports to ensure conformance.
