Job summary

Schaeffler in Cheraw, SC is recruiting for a quality inspector to execute incoming inspections, perform check routines, and release shipments that meet standards. You will document results in IT systems and prepare parts for shipping, while adhering to safety rules and PPE usage.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift medium-heavy objects. Prior QA or manufacturing experience is preferred, along with familiarity with SAP or IT systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Basic computer knowledge and MS Office skills.
• Basic knowledge of statistics and calculations preferred.
• Good visual acuity and ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Execute incoming inspections for parts and/or raw material, according to given standards and procedures.
• Perform prescribed check routines for different deliveries, products and services.
• Release deliveries, products and services which meet defined expectations.
• Document inspection results and findings in the respective IT systems.
• Prepare and pack parts or products for internal or outward shipping.
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
