Job summary

Bodycote in Andover, MA is seeking a Quality Assistant to support the Quality Manager and ensure customer requirements are met. The role involves documenting, certifying shipments, and maintaining the quality system in a heavy industrial setting.

The job requires basic IT literacy, attention to detail, and effective communication. Eligible candidates should be able to work full time with potential overtime and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• ITAR compliance: must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months in thermal processing, metallurgy, or customer specifications.
• Two years in quality organization in industries such as heat treating, manufacturing, metallurgy, aerospace and/or military specs is preferred.
• Blueprint reading preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes all submitted documentation prior to shipment of customer parts.
• Accurately prepares and completes certifications prior to shipment and corrects certs as needed.
• Maintains quality system database with understanding of ISO 9000/AS9100.
• Performs internal audits.
• Assists Quality Manager as needed.
• Reports irregularities to supervisor.
• Promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Safely handles customer inventory and reports losses or damages.
