Richardson International Limited, at the Winchester, VA pasta facility, leads the plant’s food safety and quality programs to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer standards. The FSQ Manager partners with Operations, Engineering, Sanitation, and suppliers to strengthen quality systems and drive safe, compliant manufacturing.

The role emphasizes audits, corrective actions, and escalation of consumer and customer issues while promoting continuous improvement and training across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a food-related field such as Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biochemistry.
• PCQI certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Lead development, training, execution, and verification of plant quality and food safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, corporate, SQF/GFSI, FSMA requirements.
• Lead regulatory, customer, and internal audits with follow-up and corrective actions.
• Act as primary contact for internal and external customers and investigate complaints.
• Develop and monitor sanitation and product safety programs for a safe, wholesome product supply.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to quality issues.
• Support safe work practices and promote safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards.

We currently have an opportunity for an FSQ Manager at our Winchester, VA pasta production facility, where we produce Ronzoni pasta.

The FSQ Manager leads the plant’s food safety and quality programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, corporate, and GFSI requirements. This role partners with Operations, Engineering, Sanitation, vendors, and cross-functional teams to strengthen quality systems, support audits, resolve quality issues, and promote safe, compliant manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, training, execution, and verification of plant quality and food safety systems
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, corporate, SQF/GFSI, FSMA, and food safety requirements
• Lead and participate in regulatory, customer, and internal audits, including follow-up and corrective actions
• Act as the primary contact for internal and external customers and investigate consumer and customer complaints
• Develop and monitor plant sanitation and product safety programs to ensure a safe and wholesome product supply
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement practical solutions to quality issues
• Support safe work practices and help drive safety, food safety, quality, and environmental expectations across the plant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a food-related field such as Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biochemistry
• PCQI certification
• 7+ years of quality and/or food safety experience
• 3+ years of project or team leadership experience
• Experience with quality and regulatory requirements, including FDA, SQF, GFSI, and FSMA

Preferred Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of GFSI standards and food manufacturing quality systems
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with ability to implement effective solutions
• Previous experience designing and deploying training programs
• Effective management, supervisory, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, strategic planning, accuracy, and attention-to-detail skills

Additional Information

• Position requires presence on the manufacturing floor in varying environmental conditions, including dusty, hot, humid, and cold areas
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, stoop, climb, reach, and work from ladders as needed
• Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation for 6+ hours per shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, wear a respirator as needed, and visually distinguish objects or equipment
